Detection systems

Gas sensors, seismic sensors and industrial valves that shut off the gas supply automatically in a leak or an earthquake.

A gas installation is safe when the supply shuts itself off in a leak or a seismic shock. We design and install detection systems that link gas sensors and seismic sensors to industrial shut-off valves.

The system is built into the gas installation, from homes and clinics to commercial kitchens and plant rooms, and is handed over with tests and a briefing for the people who run the building.

Gas detector, seismic sensor and solenoid valve fitted on a gas pipe

What’s included

  • Methane gas detectors for boiler rooms, commercial kitchens and plant spaces
  • Seismic sensors that command a shut-off when the ground moves
  • Solenoid valves and industrial shut-off valves on the supply pipe
  • Wiring the sensors to the valve and to the building alarm
  • Functional tests, commissioning and a briefing for the building operator

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the system mandatory?

For many classes of gas user, the regulations require a gas detector and a solenoid valve. We check the requirement on each project and propose the right arrangement, including a seismic sensor where it is needed.

Can it be added to an existing installation?

Yes. We check the pipe, the pressure and the mounting position, then install the sensors and the valve without rebuilding the whole installation, where the existing system is sound.
